A few thoughts
Hello world, i'm from Europe and i am an interior decorator. Anyway i want to share some of my thoughts and knowledge here. Long story short interior decoration and decoration in general is not a rocket science but it can be quite a pain in the butt. Recently i ended up with a bunch of whacked clients and a whole lot of problems. That's why i want to post some tips here about design. No.1 is always the light. Be careful with it because there is never too much light. Everything can look awesome in the right light, especially vintage and/or country furniture. You don't have to be an expert to play with light. Change the color of curtains and you get a whole new view to the room. Furthermore if you try different colored curtains you might also want to try different colors of rugs. Combined you can get very promising results. Personally i have very good experience with light yellow curtains a smaller and thicker bright green rug in the middle of the room. Perhaps in combination with another (existing) rug. Also light yellow curtains give the impression of light colored walls (if you have white walls). It is low cost but you can get a whole new room with a couple of curtains and a 300-400$ rug. Hope this little advise helps someone :)
